In a compatibility mode; I don't try it on Windows 7 but it works under Windows Vista 64 bit. If it's still impossible you may start it inside the XP virtual machine (it's included in Windows 7).

You must open your terminal program in a directory with SheepShaver. Then you must type the name of your SheepShaver file and (after space) the name of the preferences file (it must be from my archive).

If you still have problems, you maybe need to check the SheepShaver preferences file and to change it according to your configuration... Maybe you need absolute paths..

Vladimir, I have tried all of the above and have the same problems running this on an iMac 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with OS X 10.5.8, can you give us any more advice?

When you say "If you have problems with emulator launch, type SheepShaver SheepShaver_prefs (MacOS)" where do we exactly type this? I have downloaded the latest Sheepshaver files and replaced them in the folder too.

Please help!

Hi Richard how did you get this to work exactly, the instructions on this webpage here are not exactly clear. I am using an iMac 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with OS X 10.5.8. I can launch The Sheepshaver GUI but again get the flashing grey disk image.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really want this to work!

Hm... Maybe you need to download the latest version of SheepShaver and replace the included files. You can download it from here.

[sorry, I can't test on 10.6 right now, I'm on 10.5...]

I can't get it to work either. When I click SheepShaver, or SheepShaverGUI, to launch... nothing happens. When I say nothing happened, I mean nothing at all - no error messages, and nothing in Activity Monitor, or my logs to do with SheepShaver.

I tried "SheepShaver SheepShaver_prefs" and "SheepShaverGUI SheepShaver_prefs" from within the MacOS9.0.4 directory, and got a 'command not found' error. 'open SheepShaver.app' doesn't work, either.

I'm running OS 10.6.2.

Any ideas?
