MAKE LOVE

MAKE FILENAME command is interpreted as a command to start TECO and create the named filename. TECO (Text Editor and COrrector) was the most popular editor before VI and Emacs. Emacs originally stood for Editing MACroS running on TECO.

If you type MAKE LOVE, TECO will answer:

Not war?

This joke is implemented in most command languages of the DEC company.

First of all I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing. I’ve had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?
